Weather cloudy with occasional showers windy winds from the south to 20mph+
Water temp 56-64 deg clear to stained
Started off at 11am on the main body on flat points and flat areas protected from the wind. Looked for small willow bushes just under water. Dead sticked Dm trick sticks in green pumpkin nail weighted wacky style near these bushes for a mixed bag of spotted Bass and Smallmouth bass to 2.75lbs. Moved to the north fork and caught smaller fish. Moved to the south fork and had better success with fish to 3.5lbs while looking for coves protected from the gusting winds. Look for flat mud banks with little to no rocks near willow trees. In these areas we caught fish on Zipper Spider grubs in green pumpkin on 6lb berkley Flourocarbon line split shotting with a Abu Garcia Veritas spinning rod in the 6-9″ medium action model . Drag the bait super slow and all three kinds of bass would respond. No reaction on this day and no follows on the swimbait, if stable weather comes this lake will be on fire! Caught 25 plus fish in half a day!
