Arrived at Folsom lake to support the Cast for kids event at 730 am,The Folsom Bass League did a great job running this event. Took 2 kids and there father out for 2 hours on the boat. We fished flooded willows in coves near granite bay, we caught 4 fish to 3.5lbs on senkos and flukes. We then pulled off the water for a early lunch. Went back out again and went all the way up the North fork looking for incoming water. Found the incoming water temp at 53deg, Fished old ugly tubes with a Paradise tackle company worm head inside, this gives the bait a larger headed profile. I did this on 6lb Berkley 100% Flourocarbon Line. I coverd lots of water along steep rocky bluff walls from the cooler water back twords the 5 zone , fished areas where the wind was blowing hard. This was a dead stick bite, make long casts in front of the boat and just check to find the Spotted Bass swimming away with it. This took alot of casts! In the short time I went back out I caught 7 spotted bass 3 to 3.5 lbs Would of had 15-16lbs on 1 wall! Be prepaired, be safe and wear your life jacket, Early summer boat traffic is in full effect!
Good Luck “Ron Howe”
