Lake Pardee Fishing Report
May 28,29,30,31 2010
water temp 68 to 70 deg
water clear
Moon full
Arriving after yet another front and a full moon with a heat wave coming proved fishing would be tough! Bass were very wary and not very willing to bite, but when they did they were good ones! Wake baits had many followers and few takers over the 4 days at the lake. Wake bait fish were in the 3 lb class. Senkos in green pumkin colors were the best bet for these finecky fish! The fish wanted 4-7 feet of water on the outside of the grass line. The key was when the breeze blew you needed to be in the right place. Some fish were in post spawn, but most were in prespawn and some scatterd on beds. Small mouth bass were on flat points with shale rock up to 3.5lbs. There was 3 fish over 8lbs caught in 4 days and good numbers of 2-4lbers. Some true giants were cruising and another wave of the spawn is yet to come!
