Camp Far West Lake fishing report 1-18-15
Launched at North shore to water temps of 49 to 51 and a slight stain. The lake is at 90% pool and rising.Today was very foggy and forced us to stay close to the ramp.Austin Wilson and myself both started out throwing reaction baits, crank and rip.Neither one got a bite all day.We were graphing a ton of bait so out come the drop-shots.
The drop-shot got us 90% of our bites rigged with a morning dawn ROBO worm and a Power Bait four inch worm in a shad pattern. The rest of our bites came on a Carolina rigged lizard. Most of our fish were caught in eighteen feet of water and the bite was very soft.
We did make it the river about two o’clock and fished the rock points with jigs and swim baits to no prevail.Over all it was a really fun and relaxing day witch is just what the doctor ordered. So as always stay safe and Good Luck Bob Tyler .
