Today I made a quick run with my friend Bob to my home lake Camp Far West. The water temp was fifty-one to fifty-four degrees with a slight stain. The lake is low but you can still launch from the main ramp on the north shore. We started out on main lake points close to the dam.Bob hooked up right away in ten foot of water on a Texas rigged game hog and that was it for the next hour. The drop-shot and dart -head are usually great producers on CFW but today we didn’t get a single bite on them. The jig finally started offering up some bites draging it from point to point in twenty feet of water.I spoke to several other anglers out today and they had great days. Two boats reported thirty plus fish days on flick shacks in ten foot of water and small swim baits right on the shore line. They also caught them on jigs. This time of year is a great time to give CFW a try,it is a pretty lake and your going to be one of ten boats on the weekend.Good Luck and as always Take a Kid Fishing.
