Took a buddy outt fishing last weekend and didn’t expect to see all of the loose floating matts. The stuff is everywhere and makes some of the areas I know look different. I’m not sure where it is coming from, but it seems to be all over the river system right now. Couldn’t get any reaction bites so started flipping and caught some fish right away with Texas rigged D&M Maddog baits in light and dark colors. These baits are durable and the bass love them! The fishing was slow, but when a fish bit, it was aggresive. Managed a couple nice ones like the one in the picture!
Good luck!

Took a different buddy out to the Delta to see if we could catch some stripers in the Frank’s Tract area. We managed a couple nice keeper stripers along the rock walls and then decided to flip the D&M Mad Dog creature baits to see if we could catch a couple bass. I start schooling my buddy on proper flipping techniques, so he practices a few pitches with his new Dobyn’s rod and Shimano Curado combo and look out – he catches a donkey 9.3lb large mouth! (see photo) What I say, I’ve been trying to catch one of those all year? Here he is learning how to flip and pitch and sticks a toad??? Was pretty awesome, I have to say and oh yea, he is hooked on flipping. Starts asking when we’re going out again…ha ha…love it! These D&M’s are the real deal!
