10-6-12 Ca Delta.
Launched out of Big Break at 7:30 to 68 degree water that had a slight stain. I started out throwing a white spook around the Tully island just outside the entrance to Big Break. This offered up no results so I changed levels and started flipping an pitching a green shaky head, rigged with a green and black pepper Senko. About five minutes into this and I had a nice four ponder in the boat. I guess my bait hit this Bass right in the peak because the next hour offered up no bite’s. The next two spot’s I tried were also void of any hungry bass,Little Break and the entrance to Ebbo’s. At this point the Delta wind had really picked up and was turning a fun day of fishing into work.So I ran east of Big Break and started throwing a red crank bait in between the rip-rap an grass. Right away I caught a three ponder flowed by several smaller fish. The crank bait turned out to be the key to a fun time today .Find the bait and you’ll catch the fish. Good Luck. Bob Tyler
