I’ve been on the water for the past coupe of weeks. The bite seems to be getting better everyday. I found the West Delta is kicking out a lot more fish than anywhere else. However I have been able to fish the southern and eastern parts of the delta, and catch some decent fish. Water Temperature is 56 to 64 degrees depending on what areas your fishing. The water is fairly clear everywhere you go. Some of the my better fish have been caught on chatter baits and flipping plastics. The bite isn’t wide open but here in the next couple of weeks the Delta will start kicking out a lot of fish. I found the key to a successful 22 pound to 25 pound bag of fish is to cover A LOT of water.
