Today I went out and fished the delta with my brother Daniel. The weather report called for rain most of the day. Being Delta Rats that didn’t stop us. We found the bite to be pretty successful. We averaged around 14 to 15 pounds, most of the fish came on topwater and cranking. Water Temperature was roughly around 75 degrees all day. The majority of the better fish came in stained water, but the clearer the water got the fish seemed to shrink. I found that isolated tule islands with fast current and a small weed line tight to any piece of cover was the key. This time of year if you search for this type of cover you can’t go wrong. I hope this will help you on your next Delta adventure.
Good Luck Alex Sanchez
