Fans of Collegiate Bass Fishing Can Follow the Action With Live Blogs and Updates

May 23, 2011 by Ron Howe

San Antonio, Texas – Fans of collegiate bass fishing who are unable to attend the 2011 BoatUS Collegiate Bass Fishing Championship, will appreciate the opportunity to follow the tournament action by monitoring live blogs and on-the-water updates available as part of the extensive event coverage for nearly 300 collegiate anglers that will be competing this week.

On site coverage of the event will kick off on May 23rd with a report provided by Cabela’s Pro, Clark Wendlandt. Wendlandt will provide his insight regarding the current lake conditions the student anglers will find when they launch their boats on Lake Lewisville as the official practice period begins at sunrise on May 24th. Beginning on May 24th, fans can monitor www.Facebook.com/CollegiateBassChampionship for video clips and behind the scenes updates documenting the highly competitive quest for the national title. Starting on the morning of May 26th, top touring pros and members of the event staff will provide live blogs and on-the-water updates that can be viewed by visiting www.CollegiateBassChampionship.com; allowing fans to keep up with the daily action.

Following competition on the 26th and 27th, press releases will be distributed to media outlets throughout the nation to recap the action and tell the story of who won the championship and how they did it.

The 2011 BoatUS Collegiate Bass Fishing Championship saw the largest number of anglers ever register to compete. The field was narrowed and the top collegiate bass fishing teams in the nation will be represented in this prestigious event. Camera crews from CarecoTV will be on hand to capture all the action for the 18 half hours of dedicated coverage that will debut in August on Versus, now part of NBC Sports Group.
