Find out…what you DON’T KNOW about your electronics

If you are fishing the upcoming FPT Folsom event, understanding your fish finding unit and how to use it will be a very important part of your efectiveness on the water and  how well your chances will be at ending up in the winners circle. In an effort help you get there, FPT tech is making available to you, one of the best FREE classes you will ever attend regarding sonar and fish finders.

On Thursday, April 12th at Gone Fishin Marine in Dixon, FPT “Tech” will host it’s 2012 series of sonar classes designed to provide you with basic concepts and detailed information on how to get the most out of your “high tech” sonar/fish finding units, and be more productive on the water.

Len Vinci of Johnson Outdoors will be the instructor, and posesses a wealth of knowledge regarding the sonar and the units you use, and will share with those that want to learn the concepts of today’s sonar technology.

This class is a basic level class that covers concepts and some of the more particular aspects of sonar technology. In this class, students can expect to learn:

– Basic functionality
– Setting alarms
– Resolving noise/interference issues
– Setting Waypoints
– Understanding Side Imaging
– Transducer technology/functionality
– Downloading software – Offloading stored data

And much,much more!

(Study materials and refreshments will also be provided for students)

This class will be conducted at Gone Fishin Marine, on Thursday, April 12th, and will begin promptly 5:30pm. Seating will be limited and is first-come, first served, so make sure you call the FPT offices (916-768-0938) or send an email to (anglerspress@hotmail.com) to garuentee you get a seat.

Remember, FPT “Tech” classes are non-brand specific, so whether you own a Humminbird, Garmin, or Lowrance, fish for largemouth, Kokanee, or stripers, there will be something for you to learn…so make sure you get there early so you can get a front row seat!

IMPORTANT!! – PLEASE READ:   The next class in this series – is the “Intermediate” level class, which goes into more detail about sonar and the units you use. It will be held two weeks following this class and it is require for attend the basic class before you can participate in the intermediate level class. These classes are only held once or twice a year so if you miss out you may have a long wait before another is offered.
