This is a good read-rarley ever brought up and discussed. Take a minute and ask your self , How am I on the water? Am I courteous, Am I encroaching on others?
Nobody owns the water but we call can work on being better brothers on the water!
Id like to talk about fishing etiquette, specially in tournaments but over all. The past few years Ive really noticed a disregard for fellow fisherman on the water. This past weekend I actually had two separate boats work between me and the bank where I was fishing. I asked for a little courtesy and was told to not worry about it because they were not in the tournament. I had been on this spot for over an hour and had hooked several large fish. This particular boat ran right over the spot I was getting bit on and we never got another bite from the spot. Personally I try and be courteous to my fellow fisherman. I wont pull in one dock in front of them or behind them. If i want to fish that spot Ill return later and see if its open. I try and give people space, there are fish all over the place, ya just need to figure out how to get em to bite. If you do want to fish close to another angler its polite to ask if they mind. Some folks are fine with it and some wont be. Me, if ya ask, most of the time Ill say go ahead.
