Lake Shasta

is located in the far north of California soem 3 hours plus from Sacramento. This lake has 3 major river arms feeding it. Shasta is dominated by Spotted Bass , but has some big Smallmouth and Largemouth Bass . Crawfish shad and Trout are the main forage for Bass here. It is not uncommon for bags of up to 16lbs of Spotted Bass to be weighed in here. This years FLW event will sure to be a very competetive finish! Shasta is a great lake for a house boat trip. You may see a rare bald eagle while Bass fishing and if you do youv’e found the big ones!
