NAPA, Ca. – Any angler that uses Navionics mapping chips can now become part of enriching the information on the lakes they enjoy so much as with your electronic sonar devices you can help plumb the depths of some of the bests lakes in the west and contribute to producing additional data regarding contours, hidden gorges, detailed mountains, canyons, or submerged structures never before mapped!

Lake Berryessa, which is the next stop on the 2013 FPT schedule, is just 3 short weeks away, and will be the first lake that anglers will have a chance to create sonar logs to use with Navionics’ exclusive SonarCharts™ Mapping – and in doing so, will receive an opportunity to win some outstanding bounty prizes!

ALL ANGLERS in the west will benefit from the contributions of the rapidly growing Navionics Community comprised of tens of thousands of individuals that submit many hundreds of thousands of edits per year creating continuously enriched content.  This empowers boaters and anglers with incredibly detailed charts they can continue to build and use to discover creeks and channels, target the most productive fishing areas, and study precise lake details.

If you want get in on being part of the biggest sonar logging endeavor in the west, come down to Fisherman’s Warehouse in Sacramento on Thursday, September 19th, beginning at 6:00pm, as FPT Tech will host a seminar titled “Navionics 101”, featuring Navionics rep T’shombe Moore. During that time, Navionics pro staff personnel that will issue you a free blank logging chip along with EASY hands-on instruction that will show you EXACTLY how to perform the sonar logging/recording process on your unit.
