I was five years old when my father introduced me to fishing and I’ll be completely honest I hated it. It wasn’t until I was about nine years old that I started learning how to do things on my own. It was that freedom of not having to rely on my father to cast for me or tie my knots or whatever it was I needed, that opened the door to a whole new view on fishing. In short, I absolutely fell in love. I started craving the sport and wanting to learn more and more. The sport was all I could think about. At the age of twelve I started studying the fish; like what their behaviors where at different times of the year. This allowed me to determine what to throw and when. Stemming at a young age, fishing has become part of me. As I always say “fishing is in my blood”. Without fishing I’m just not myself. Although my fishing ventures came to a halt in 2013 when my first daughter was born, I look forward to getting back out there in 2017 and tearing it up! There is always something to learn and a chance to get better. I can’t wait to be able to fully pour myself back into the sport with the help of RB Bassin’, the family that I have gained through fishing over the years, my beautiful wife and kids, and most importantly my lifetime sponsors my parents and little brother Jose (if it wasn’t for them working their asses of while I fished, I wouldn’t be the fisherman I am today).
We welcome Jackson to the RB BASS Group!
