6-9-12 today I fished a Future Pro Tour tournament held out of Pleasure Cove Marina. The water I fished averaged seventy degrees and it was gin clear at the start of the day. The only thing working against us today was the wind; It blew steady all day at twenty to twenty five miles per hour. Despite the wind lots of teams finished the day with quality bags of fish. The top five teamsĀ all had over twenty pounds anchored by a ten ponder and a nine pound largemouth. Most of the big bites came on a top water spook walked slowly over submerged grass in four to six feet of water .Several teams reported catching their fish on crank-baits and jigs. Now is a great time to go to Lake Berryessa, The big bass are biting.
