Lake Camanche Fishing Report from Rick at Rickscustombaits.

May 29, 2018 by Ron Howe

Camanche report 5/19/2018
Water temperature-73
Water clarity-slightly stained

Had the pleasure to fish Camanche for a few hours on Saturday. Launched at about 7am with a plan to throw some big baits. The morning started slow as we tried a couple spots that have produced some solid fish in the past. Couldn’t find them so changed a few baits around to hopefully trigger a bite. The wind was starting to pick up as I moved onto a main lake point and threw a custom painted 178 ima glide fluke up into the shallows. First cast was crushed by a solid 4 # largemouth as soon as it hit the water. Stoked! The next 10 casts produced 3 more in the 2# range. Ended the day with 8 solid fish boated on the glide fluke and another couple on a 168 S-waver. Too much fun! Hoping to get out a few evenings this week to find more! #rickscustombaits
