Arrived at the lake around 10 am to do some filming with the crew from Basshookups.com
The wind started blowing right off the bat so I put the top water baits down and started cranking with the Ima Beast Hunter in Chartreuse shad color. No bites? I left the main body and went up the middle fork. I started drop shotting shad color worms on rocky points and found good success on fish up to 2.25lbs. I moved around looking for boulders and calmer water in protected areas and started throwing top water baits again and boom! The spotties were on it! The fish were smaller than the drop shot fish that I was catching. I then went looking for wind and mud lines and went back to cranking again. I covered a lot of water and hooked 2 large mouth over 5lbs each! The bite was good from 12-4pm I caught around 30 fish in this time period.
