A cold, brisk sunrise found my team partner David Ladyman and I launching his Cobra Bassboat at Holiday Landing.
We started the day making a cold run up river towards Sulfur Springs. Switching between shallow and deep structure we caught a few smaller fish on Jigs.
We worked our way towards a stump lines flat with a small creek channel running through it, we picked up a few better fish on blades and one on a senko. As we worked back down river we concentrated on deeper brush piles and stumps along the river channel picking up a few more fish on Jigs.
As afternoon set in and the sun broke through the clouds we found better fish staging just off the main river channel at the entrance to the feeder creeks. Once again Canopy Grenade Jigs and the X-Zone Muscle Back Finesse Craw rigged with a Canopy Grenades Punch Skirt were the top producers.
