RBBASS Tournament Angler Spotlight ” Michael Birch”
Michael Birch is a veteran tournament angler who has many wins on the California Delta and over 100 top 3 finishes. Birch was born in Virginia where he started fishing in nearby creeks and farm ponds at a very early age and then moved on to bigger lakes and rivers. Michael graduated from Radford University in 1990, earning a degree in Business Management. Shortly thereafter, he moved to California and currently resides on the famed California Delta.
Michael has fished competitively in both local and regional tournaments. He currently fishes a variety of Team Circuits and Pro-Am’s across Northern California. Some of his recent successes are 2nd place FLW Costa, 1st place Coors Light Invitational Champion, 1st place Dans’ Delta Outdoors Pro-Am, 1st Place Simms Pro Day, 1st place Durbin Memorial and multiple 1st place finished in Best Bass Tournaments and Tracy Bass. Birch is best known for his big bass prowess with a flipping stick.
Michael is very active on social media and conducts seminars on a regular basis. In addition, he is very involved with the TBF FLW High School affiliated tournaments. Birch participants in a dozen High School fishing events and seminars each year.
