Ca Delta Fishing Report for 8-30-14
It’s been a tough bite for me the last couple of trips to the Dirty D.But today was not that by a long shot.I launched out of B&W with young gun Austin Wilson in my boat and headed South at safe light. We started the day both throwing top-water bait’s,I threw the buzzbait while Austin threw the whopper-plopper.The early morning bite never really developed for us as we were only able to boat one solid keeper. The next plan of attack came in the way of a jig and drop-shot.Both of these baits put some quality bass in the boat.A seven and a five came on the jig and another solid five came on the drop-shot.We spent the majority of the rest of the day punching because the dock talk say’s it’s all the rage right now.We covered miles of great looking bank and only caught one three ponder. The last good bass was caught on a frog to round off a great twenty-three pound bag.The two key’s to our success today was deeper water and current.Hope this helps you out a little bit and as allways Good Luck and be Safe.
