The RB BASS Group went out on New Years Day to have some fun and have a fish off against each other. Bragging rights were the only thing at stake and game faces were on! We launched at 7am and headed out. 3 boats braved the Ocean like waves and the wind and went North and the other 4 stayed in the canyon. Normally the North would produce , but on this day it was the south that would produce the best overall action and the bigger bites. Dan MCElroy reported that Tackle Toad Jigs fished deep in 50ft of water early got the bigger bites. Best 5 in the 17lb range. The Next best was from Skiers Cover area as 16lbs of Spotted Bass were accounted for and Sean Wayman had them dialed in. The biggest bag from the North wast just shy of 12 Lbs. Tubes,Jigs and drop shots supplied the best action on this day. The wind had the entire lake murky! Bob Tyler found reaction bites on IMA Crank baits in the North end. Spencer Moran had 4 Huddleston bites, but landed no fish. We all had fun and caught Smallmouth bass,Spotted Bass and Largemouth Bass. Berryessa is a great lake !
Fish were caught 10-50ft deep.
