First Off,
Thank you to all of you who braved the weather and drove from near and very far just to get here. This was by far the closest I have ever come to canceling an event, but luckily we waited until the morning of and low & behold we had a great day. Once again topping 50 boats, wow…..We had 53 teams came out Saturday for the 2nd event of the 2015 Season. At 5:30am the skies parted and allowed us to almost not even have to use the bullhorn for the blast-off, unfortunately I chickened out and did not use the PA system thinking it could cut loose again any minute, that did not happen and wouldn’t you know it, we had great weather for the entire day which is uncommon for a NorCal90 event(not), hehehe……
In the end the team of Tom Salo/Charles Wooten took home top honors with almost 12lbs garnering them almost $2000 and the First place Chuck Patterson Toyota/Scion/Dodge sponsored Plaques. The 4th place team of Robbie Merwin/Daniel Scism had the days BigFish with a 4+ lb beauty… The rest of the results are attached to this email with the point standings and also on our webpage at NorCal90.com ,in the left hand column.
The year end fish-off has over $3100 in it as of know and it will only get better. Thank you very much to our Title Sponsor Chuck Patterson Toyota/Scion/Dodge of Chico. We also had a brand new 2015 Dodge Ram ½ ton Eco-Diesel that gets 28+ miles per gallon parked right up front for everyone to check out while they were enjoying some of Allison’s homemade chili.
