RB Bass Angler Austin Wilson and his team partner Shane Pierson win the Future Pro Tour championship and a New Ranger Bass Boat paired with an Evinrude Outboard.! This event consisted of fishing 2 days on Lake Oroville and took the top 15 finishing teams to fish Bullards Bar. Three teams in the top ten consisted of RB BASS Tournament Anglers shooting for the title including last years Defending Champions Danny Cross and partner Dugan Wilson , they came into the final day in 2nd place with Austin and Shane sitting in4th, while James Everhart and Mike Cole made a big push sitting in 8th going into championship day!
Austin Wilson and Shane Pierson etched out the win with a pair of Bullards Bar Spotted Bass. With a three day total of over 39 lbs for the Big Win. The Anglers reported earning their way to Championship day by fishing Spinnerbaits shallow at Lake Oroville from 0-5 ft. Austin reported using a Persuader double Colorado bladed chartreuse skirted Spinnerbait for some of his key bites along with a few other blades. The team reported they caught 15 fish on day 1 and 10 fish on day 2. Bullards Bar proved to be tough, but Austin Wilson was able to catch 2 Magnum Bullards Bar Spotted Bass to anchor the Teams win. Austin reported he caught both fish on a Shakey head with a 7″ Oxblood Roboworm.
Last Years Champions Danny Cross and Dugan Wilson finished in the top 10 with a solid 7th place finish after three days.
