Must Have Items for 2019 by Ryan Hall

The 2019 fishing season is upon us and many of the local tournament circuits have already begun their seasons. With that being said I am going to list some of my must have items for the 2019 Season. Links to these items will be at the bottom of the page.

Performance Clothing: The addition of performance clothing to your bag of tools is a game changer. Whether it be cold weather gear or sun protection these articles of clothing could make a difference in your comfort on the water and even how you feel when you get off of the water.

X-Zone Lures: X-Zone Lures has really become a staple in my boat no matter what time of year and where I am fishing. X-Zone Lures has baits for every application. Some of my favorites are seen below.

G-Ratt Baits: G-Ratt Baits is a new sponsor of RB Bass and has been making high quality swimbaits for the past few years. G-Ratt makes an awesome glide bait called the “Sneaky Pete” and 2 topwater wake rats, the Kincannon Swimming Rat and Magic Mouse. All three of these baits are built well and come in some fantastic colors.

Rod Protection: Rod protection is a big part of keeping your tools in tip top shape. I always protect my Dobyns Rods with Rod Glove Sleeves. Ima Pinjack 200: Hands down the most underrated crankbait on the market. The Pinjack 200 is an easy to cast mid-depth crankbait that dives from 6-8ft. It gets down to depth quickly and easily. It casts a mile and has a natural hunting action. This bait is an absolute fish catcher.

Dobyns Rods: Dobyns Rods have been a staple here on the westcoast for years now and I truly believe they make some of the best rods available. With its recent edition of the Colt, Sierra, and Xtasy lines it has rods for every budget. The Colt Series is the most affordable line being that they only cost $79.99. Dont be fooled these rods have amazing action and durability. For those that want the highest end of rod available the Xtasy Series provides features that are second to none. The Xtasy Series rods are light as a feather and tough enough to drag in the largest of fish. Dobyns Rods has other lines that come in at price points between the Colt Series and the Xtasy Series. Dobyns Rods has a line that is perfect for any budget and skill set.

Spinnerbaits: Spinnerbaits have been in every bass fishermans aresenal for decades now. Dobyns has designed two lines of high quality spinnerbaits. For those who want a spinner bait with a smaller more compact build the Advantage line of spinnerbaits is perfect for you. The lighter wire and smaller blades are perfect for clear water lakes make it a lethal combination for spotted bass. The Beast line of spinnerbaits has a larger wire and larger blades which thump hard and draw in big bass.

Boom Boom Swimbait: MLF Pro Fred Roumbanis designed his line of boot tail swimbaits that are perfect for those of us who want to wind a swimbait.
