I started fishing at a very young age with my father and uncle mostly bait fishing. As I grew a passion for fishing I started venturing out and chasing bass when I was around 10 years old. My parents purchased a house boat on the California delta and I fished for anything that would bite, but it wasn’t till I met Earl Dalton that I was introduced to tournament fishing I was instantly hooked.
I began to fish B.A.S.S. Nation as a non boater to learn more and wouldn’t you know it, I won and made the state team. From there I qualified for the Western divisional at Noxon Montana and while I was there I met a guy by the name of Dan Wells. We got to talking and he asked me what rods I used, which I replied “any one I get my hands on”. We talked more and Dan said he knew a guy that I should talk to that could help me with my fishing goals. That’s when Dan gave me the contact info for Ronnie Howe.
The more I learned, I saw a group of guys that shared the same passions about fishing, the industry and the sport as I did. It also seemed to be like a trusted brotherhood that helped each other and had the same goals. Seeing the communication and feeling of family was so important to me and very rare to see, from that point on I knew I wanted to be a part of RB BASS. From there, I worked very hard to learn both sides of the industry, the fishing as well as the business, marketing and media sides.
I have been very fortunate to have made life long friends through fishing and being a part of RB BASS.
