Examine your Bass
Weather were fun fishing or in a tournament we tend to catch and release, or catch and stuff our fish quickly in our live wells.Take a moment to examine your fish and you will learn alot about Bass.If bass are eating on the bottom they will have there eyes pointing down. Hold the bass and look at his eye angle. If they are eating top water the Basses eyes will be focusing upward!
Look inside a Basses mouth to see what they are eating! If a Basses mouth is all red they are eating craws or eating out of rocks and it is irritating there skin. If a Basses mouth is all white inside they are eating bait fish such as shad , minnows, bluegill, baby bass,or trout! Learning this can help you choose the right baits for the rest of the day.
Look at a Basses color. A pale fish usually has been deep, cold,or in muddy water. A really dark green fish has been hiding in the weeds.A Bass that is yellowish has been gorging on crawfish!
