RB Bass Outdoors angler Brandon King and his partner Jeremy Pitts fished the Best Bass Tournaments (BBT) Mother Lode Region team tournament on Lake New Melones this past Saturday March 16th. This is a video of how their tournament day played out. Here is what Brandon had to say about how their day went
“We had the bites. We needed to have around 13lbs but just didn’t execute, it happens that’s why it’s called fishing and not catching. New Melones is about to bust loose any day. Water temp got up to 58 degrees for us and there were good ones moving. We caught fish from 5ft to 50ft. Most fish were caught on a small swimbait and either a Texas rigged worm or neko rig on a Dobyns Rods DX742SF and DRX754. Weights for Texas rig were 3/16oz Wicked Weights Tungsten Fishing Tackle on P-Line 12lb and 8lb tactical. I gotta thank my partner Jeremy Pitts, he’s a stud on that lake and found the fish we needed.” Brandon King
