Fished Clear Lake for 5 days looking for some of those big bites… pretty much fished all 5 days up North from the Casino to Rodman back to Kona. Fished rock piles with jigs, shaky heads and reaction…caught fish up to 5.25 lbs. Moved into Rodman and flipped a D&M 4.25 Maddog Series craws in both dark and light colors and have to say that these baits hold up really well compared to some of the other same style baits/brands on the market, very durable and the fish loved chewing on them. Flipped from 2 to 5 foot deep. Also caught fish on a custom homemade colored vibrating jig on the outside of weedlines and around wood. My partner and I were not able to put a good bag together on any of the days but had fun and was able to learn so new stuff about the lake. Fish were being caught on all types of baits and in multiple areas all over the lake. You can go up there right now and catch fish power fishing or finesse… whatever your desire, you can find fish doing it. There are multiple weeks of TOC events going on the lake over the next 3 weeks, so it will be getting more pressure, but if you can break away for the day, drive on up and catch you some fall fish… Good Luck ~
