Went out to Folsom for a day of fishing with a buddy on Monday. Got on the water about 7am with water temps at 50. Fished a spot on main body that produced some fish the last two trips out. The bite was much slower as it took almost 2 hours to hook up. Moved around the lake both North and South looking for bait. Started catching fish around noon in depths from 20 to 52 feet. Found bait from 23 to 80 feet around lake with the best concentration being around 55 feet. By the end of the day all of our efforts provided us with about 7 fish, 3 of which were pushing 5 lbs include one largie to our surprise. The two other big fish were spots and another big fish also broke off. The best 5 went about 21 lbs.. an awesome day and I got to watch my buddy put on a big fish clinic. Watermelon blk flake wacky senko’s dead sticking and shaking took fish for us. Try using shad or smoke color as well that memic the bait.
