Hurricane season is upon us here in Florida and we’ve already been encountered by two hurricanes Hermine and Matthew.

We were well out of harms way and had just the right pressure as we were fishing the storm was a Meer two hundred miles away give or take a few and the fishing was incredible. All the fish wanted to do was FEED.
Now after a hurricane as a complete different ball game the lake has then taken a few beaten due to the high waves and winds a lot of vegetation will be uplifted and moved around as you can see in the picture attached that’s the famous J&S lock after the recent hurricane.
With the strong wind and waves it has the possibility to completely wipe out your favorite fishing hole. Along with that brings mud and Florida bass tend to hate dirty water not to say that are water already isn’t dirty.
But there’s a bright side to all this and after all major storms this is the main thing I focus on is spill ways. With the lakes rising due to rain they start to drain them and where there’s running water there bass. These are always a target for me!!
