Bullards Bar Fishing Report by Dan Wells
Bullards Bar Fishing Report 1-1-11
DanWells and Kevin Cornwell fished a turkey shoot on Bullards Bar Res new years day. Dan and Kevin found good success for a limit of spotted bass that weighed 25.60lbs with a 6.10lb kicker fish, they found their fish in 28’ to 38’ feet of water on main lake points. The key to a productive point was a mud/ rock bottom. The water at Bullards is 49 to 51 degrees. The pair caught their fish on 6” Zipper hand pour worms in green pumpkin and 6” oxblood light worms both rigged on dart heads. The big fish of the day came on a ½ oz Persuader casting jig with a green pumpkin grub trailer fished on a Dobyns 734C Champion series rod with a 7;1 real and 12lb fluorocarbon line.
