Headed out to the Delta on 6-12-11 for a fun day of fishing. Started off with 70 degree water temp and fished both clear and stained water on a high outgoing tide. Found fish from the bank down to 6 ft with speed traps, senko’s and beavers. Most fish were in the 2 lb range with a few dinks and one 3 bler. Caught about 15 fish until the tide slacked out at about 10:20 am. Today’s focus was all about fishing and not running, so I stayed in the same area for the entire day so I could fish all 3 phases of the tide.
Next time you go out, pick an area and spend all day there… you can really learn a ton of information fishing the same area with different water stages… plus you will save some cash on boat gas.
Good Luck ~
