My buddy Phil and I fished the 10th Annual Snag Proof Open at the California Delta out of Russo’s marina on 8-6/8-7. The bite was really tough for just about the entire field of 178 boats and we were no exception. We only weighed in 4 fish total for the weekend, 3 on day one and 1 on day two for just under 12 lbs. The entire weekend was tough with the cold nights but we worked hard both days did our best to get what we were able to bring in. We missed tons of fish that just were not committing to the bait 100%, which was the same story with many teams on both days. It was once again a GREAT event overall and can’t wait until next year… Revenge will be mine!
