Clearlake fishing report April 5th
Water temp was 51 in the morning and got to 55 later in the day. I caught most of my fish first thing in the morning on a trap and had about 25 lbs. Atfter the first few hours the bite died and the water warmed up a little. I decided to move to a spot where there was a lot of grass and started to throw a buzz bait made about 10 cast and got smoked by a 5 in about a foot of water. I fished a buzzer another 2 hours and it didnt get touched. The water where i was fishing was slightly stained but most of the lake is pretty clear. By this weekend coming up I believe a lot of fish will be on beds. And i hope the top water bite will pick up, if i was any of you guys I would hook up the boat and head to Clearlake.
