Ca Delta fishing report for April 5th 2014.
Launched at Branham island today at six o’clock to a high tide, stained water and sixty degree water temp. Started out throwing a Buzzbait and a Frog hopeing for a big top water bite but the cold snap has turned that bite off.Made the run to Big Break and started flipping the tulle points with a Texas rigged Brush hog and a Senko rigged with a 1/4 oz jig head. Caught several nice little bucks and lost a pig that bent the hook at the boat. We then decided to check things out a little further North with the same baits and continued to have some luck with both. I added the drop shot to the arsenal on the outside weed lines and was rewarded with the big fish or the day.Total we caught about twenty fish for a twenty pound bag and had a blast. The weather is starting to warm up so the top water bite is right around the corner.Keed those frogs and buzzbaits tied on and Good Luck to you. P.S.saw a few on beds.
