High Tide 8am @orwood
My day started at 930 am launching at Orwood and finished up at 2pm. The tide had just started going out and I started flipping some floating vegetation with a June bug rage craw between orwood and Holland with no success. The water was not moving fast enough so I ran over to Holland slough next to the main channel with visible current running out. I switched my punch bait to a watermelon copper flapping hog and was rewarded with this 7.5lber.
This bite really started my day. I continued to punch mixed floating vegetation with tullies mixed in with success for the rest of the day. Below I included the spot this fish bit. Current was coming into the floating vegetation and there was about 3’ of water under that mat.
