Fished the Delta for a few hours today. Due to late start and short on time, launched out of Wimpy’s (New Hope ramp closed) and headed North up to Lost Slough and the Meadows area. Water was very high and currents strong, making for lots of floating debris and very muddy water. Found water temps up to 60 degrees. Fishing was tough in the muddy water but did manage fish on a 3/8 ounce black/red Persuader Echip jig around submerged wood. Threw chatterbaits due to water color along with Colorado blades and rattle traps, but no luck.
The weather was GREAT and an excellent day to be on the water to enjoy some sunshine, too bad the fishing for us was not as enjoyable…
