An awesome top water lure for multiple species…whether it’s striper, largemouth, spots or smallies…If you like top water fishing I would like to introduce you to Delta Wood Bombers Custom Wooden Lures. These lures come in a couple sizes and awesome custom colors that will fit an anglers needs. Carlo Ramos is the man behind these custom wooden lures and does some really nice work with the design, paint and finish. There is a 5” version that weighs in at 1 ¼ oz and a larger version that weighs in at 5 oz and is about 10” long for those that like to hunt for those BIG fish.
The Delta Wood Bomber is handmade from Alaskan Yellow Cedar and equipped with 4X VMC spark point hooks and #3 Super triple wrap split Ring by Wolverine Tackle. This bait is built to last and hold up to the big ones with a #304 stainless steel wire that runs thru the entire body of the bait. With this design the front hook that is towards the middle of the body has a unique design that allows the hook to move freely that I feel makes it harder for the fish to throw during head shakes.
With these baits being made of wood they are indeed silent stalkers but at the same time are able to move plenty of water due to the design of the bait. The bait is nice and thick at the neck area of the bait allowing it to move plenty of water when desired. I have been playing with this bait for a few months now and wish I had run across them sooner. I really love the action of these baits and what you can get these plugs to do in the water. You can work them with a wide kick to drift action, walk them quick and tight, get them to dip under the water and also jump out of the water. These can be worked fast or slow, either way the Delta Wood Bombers are an awesome lure and deserve some attention.
