Fishing Lake Don Pedro By RB Bass Outdoors Angler Travis Williams November 16, 2022 by Vern Westberg II Lake Don Pedro Fishing Report11/16/22I have been on 4 different lakes in Northern CA in the last 2 weeks and Don Pedro in fishing the best in my opinion. I spent 10 hours on the lake and was able to catch fish at every stop I made using several different patterns. I started out looking for bait inside 49er cove. The back of 49er was packed with bait however the fish were not on it. I pulled out the mouth and found them. Huge schools of bass pushing bait at mouth. They were suspended in 40-60’. I was able to use live scope and chase the schools around with a spoon and did well. The spoon I was using was an ACME Kastmaster in 1oz. I swapped out the hook for the VMC bladed treble to give it secondary action. I ran several other openings to creek arms and found them as deep as 70’. This biggest and best quality schools came out of 70’. I did not have any luck with creek arms that had timber. I did see bait around the trees but nothing active. Other patterns that worked well was Neko rigging a baby bass 5” Senko in the narrows. This produced a lot of bites with some quality largemouth in the 3+lb range mixed in. The bridge pilings were loaded with bass however nothing of size came off them. I caught them on a spoon and suspending a Berkely maxscent flat worm in shad pattern and shaking it in front of them on the pilings. Good Luck.
