For those anglers looking to go fish at either Lake Camanche or Lake Don Pedro they are fishing very similar right now for bass. Water temp at Lake Camanche was 72 degrees. Water temp at Lake Don Pedro was 71 degrees. Dropshotting Roboworms, Berkley Champ Minnows and 2 to 3 inch Keitech swimbaits are producing fish. For the Roboworms its the 4 and a half inch in prism shad, sexy shad, aarons morning dawn and margarita mutilator colors. Bass are chasing shad. Neko rigged senko style worms by Zoom, Strike King KVD bull worm, Rotten Box or Wise Guy Tackle also working. There is a topwater bite first thing in the morning but dies of pretty quick. Topwater baits that are being thrown are the Berkley Chapo and the whopper ploppers. The River2Sea S-waver in the 168 size catching fish. At lake Don Pedro hula grubs are catching pretty good numbers of fish also. Lake Camanche has also been producing some good numbers of trout. Trolling 3 Sons Tackle Whipper Snappers, hoochies, speedy shiners and dragon flies by Dan Valdez are the baits of choice. Fish are being found in the 45 to 60 ft range. Lake Don Pedro has been good for kokanee and kings. Again 3 Sons Tackle whipper snappers, hoochies, speedy shiners and dragon flies all catching fish. Tipping the lures with corn for the kokanees have been working. Speedy shiners fish bare.
Lake Pardee fishing has been slow but beginning to pick up. Fish are in the 50 to 55 ft range. Troll at speeds from .9 to 1.3 mph. 3 Sons Tackle whipper snappers, hoochies and apexs with top coat flashers. As for the bass bite neko rigs and ned rigs are catching some fish. A ned rig with either a Z-man or Wise Guy Tackle ned rig.There is a little bit of a topwater bite throwing spooks and whopper ploppers.
Lake New Hogan the bite has been tough. Dropshot and throwing a wacky style senko is what you wanna throw,
