Had limited time to fish so headed out to Folsom Lake with my team partner to check things out. Weather conditions called for possible rain, but it held off for the day which was nice. Fished water temps from 52 to 55.6, clear and murky water and found all of our fish on a 1/2 ounce Persuader spinner bait in Chart/White with Gold Colorado blades. Slow rolling with a pause or jerk once in a while created more bites. I had a chance to test out the 7’3′ med hvy Abu Garcia Veritas rod while throwing blades, which it paired up with very nicely. We fished shallow water coves, points and drop offs, but coves produced the fish. Did not catch many, but boated some 2’s, a 3.6 and a 4.5 all spotted bass. Seen lots of cruisers as well…
Got bites dragging worms, crankn and rippn – but could not hook up.
