Current conditions,
Water temp: 55-58 degrees
Report from Gabe at the hook line and sinker.
Currently we are having lots of rain fall without the muddy water making the water temps drop just a little from the high of 60 degrees last week. We are noticing lots of fish up shallow and eating. These fish know what time of year it is and they know it’s time to get work. Many anglers are finding success on chatterbaits, crankbaits, spinnerbaits, and small Swimbaits. The fish are starting to get into the prespawn mode but follow up with jigs, senkos, and other bottom contact baits as we are still seeing winter time patterns being successful. The fish that are up especially the bigger fish are relating to current. Feeding flats and current breaks adjacent to deep water is where I would spend my time looking for those few key bites.
