Joining RBBASS by Mark Gomez

March 2, 2020 by Randy Walker

How did I join RB Bass?

Throughout fishing tournaments I met many anglers that were part of RB Bass over the years and got to a point to where I ended up knowing most of the members. I ended up having a conversation with Ron Howe regarding the group to get details on joining. Ron invited me to the next RB Bass yearly meeting and after sitting in and listening, I thought it met my needs and that’s when I decided to join RB Bass.

Being a part of RB Bass, to be honest, has helped me learn more and have a better understanding of the technology and social media side of the business. I still struggle with it, but I’m learning more and more.  The most important thing is the networking with the other members. Every time I see another RB Bass member,  we’re able to have conversations and learn from each other.

What RB Bass means to me is learning new techniques of fishing and just being a part of the group that has helped me advance my skills. If we don’t stay up with the up and coming baits we will be lacking knowledge and not continuing to grow as an angler.

I also enjoy sharing information with other members of the group. I like it when others contact me for information if I recently fished a body of water. It’s always good to get the positive vibes from the group when your doing good or if your having a bad tournament, just to learn from others. Everyone is always positive and always looking to help out fellow anglers.
