A solid bite for numbers of 1.75-2.25 LB Bass is happening at New Melones. Plastic worms, jigs,Tubes,Drop Shots are all doing well right now. Move around till you find fish and bait on your graph and then work the area thoroughly for bites. The last 2 trips have yielded 15-30 Bass a day. Every Cast you have a chance to catch a giant on this lake! Fish Points,Coves,and Guts. Dispite low water levels, New Melones is still a huge lake! The launch ramp at Tuttle town is very close to parking and not a hassle at all. Go get some BASS!
