Lake Tulloch Fishing Report
June 2010
Water Temp 70-73deg clear
This is a very interesting lake, there is very little information about Bass Fishing on this lake. In Preperation for The CBC Regional Qualifier I got to try to learn this lake . The Lake has a small main body and two main arms running north and south, also the river section of the lake flows in from the bottom of Lake New Melones. For fun fishing this lake was great 3 trips yeilded tons of action for fish in the 10-12.75″ range. Large mouth<Smallmouth<and Red eye Bass are all over the lake. Split shotting Zipper worms in 4″ Sculpin color provided good action. There was a great hula grub bite as well using the Zipper Worms Green Pumkin hula grubs on a 3/8 oz Berserk Baits jig head they wouldnt let it hit the bottom! Rocky banks and docks were the most consistant! There were a scattering of Largemouth bedding all over the lake. This lake has great cover, structure and plenty of grassbeds to fish. Fish Slow fish light line for your most consistant bite. As the temps warm up try up river as fish will migrate to the incoming waters!
Top water bite is scattered as many SMallmouth Bass are chasing bait in open water,Poppers and spooks had many blow ups but few takers, look for warmer nights to heat up the topwater action.
