Pagoda Weight System brought to you my Danny Miller at Red One Systems
Ive been testing and fishing with the Pagoda weight system now for a couple months. The Pagoda weight system allows you to turn just about any swim bait into a line thru. This allows the use of a treble hook. In addition is adds to the longevity of the bait. My first thought when I got the Pagoda system was to use it with the Trash Fish. For those that know about the trash fish, it flat out catches em. Really the only down side of the Trash Fish is they tear. They are super soft and supple, thats why the action is so awesome. Well rigging it with the Pagoda weight allows you to catch more fish on each bait. When the fish east the bait and gets hooked the bait safely slides up the line and is ready to use after releasing the current fish. Another great benefit to this system is its reusable. The insert weight is tungsten so as long as you dont break off you will have weights for lots of swim bait catches. This is also a benefit as we all know lead discolors our baits over time, tungsten does not. You can also set up this line thru system through the bottom or top of the bait. So if you want to drag your swimbait on the bottom and snag less, rig the bait with the hook on top. The line thru allows for a more natural and compact appearance.
The system includes everything you need and includes 3 different weights from 1/4 oz to 1/2 oz. The kit is priced at $26.99 is really a bargain when you consider its reusable and it will save on the cost of baits as they last longer. To me this is a win win.
If you are not familiar with Red One Systems you need to check them out. They have designed many innovative products for the anglers. From the trolling motor cables to the Miller punch weight to the new Pagoda weight system. Every item they have will save you money in the long run or save you frustration. Chek them out at http://redonesystems.com/Home.htmlml. You will be glad you did. Well thought out and designed they are all great products. Ive been using the trolling motor cable for 2 years now. The fact that they included a mount for the handle so its not bouncing around on the deck when running is a sign of the forward thinking.
Look for my review on the Miller Wired Punch Weigh coming soon.
