RB Bass is pleased to announce that NxGen Angler Landon Ford has just accepted an offer to fish for Simpson University of Redding, California. Landon Ford was not only offered an academic scholarship for his stellar grade point average but was also offered a fishing scholarship. Simpson University has explained Landon as “a standout angler from the greater Sacramento area.” The Simpson Bass fishing team has illustrated their excitement to “lean on his video editing skills and YouTube prowess.” Landon will be able to refine his fishing skills on a weekly basis as he will be close to many great fisheries like Lake Shasta and other lakes hidden inside the beautiful landscape of Redding, California.
“I am ecstatic about fishing on the Simpson University bass team and obtaining my college degree in Business Administration. The Simpson University Bass fishing team is the number one college fishing team in California, and I can’t wait to learn from some of the great anglers on the team. I have learned an ample amount about bass fishing and the equipment used from working at Fisherman’s warehouse, and I’m more than happy to bring that to the team and its members. I am exhilarated to compete in many tournaments around the country and experience the diverse waters and the species of bass that live in them. Fishing on the Simpson Bass fishing team will also help bring me deeper into the fishing industry and further help my dream of fishing at a professional level.”
