Started our morning off launching from Markley Cove and making our way out and straight across to some points. I was throwing a G-Ratt Sneaky Pete and my dad was throwing a neko
rigged X-Zone lures true center stick. Fished those points for about an hour with no fish and decided to make a move. Made a run further in the narrows and started looking for fish up
shallow. I continued to throw the Sneaky Pete with no bites but a lot of small followers. Switched it up and picked up a Vision 110jr jerk bait and started to get bites but it was the same small fish that were following the glide bait.
Continued to throw the jerk bait and picked up a few more of the small ones. Dad started throwing a drop shot with a zoom trick worm in watermelon red. He picked up a nice 2.5 pound
largemouth up shallow on a weed line in the back of a cove. Marked a lot of small fish on the graph and started moving around to look for bigger fish. Found better marks of fish in the 30 foot
range all suspended about 20 feet down. Spent some time trying to get those fish to bite, throwing everything I could think at them. Watched them follow a lot of the bait choices but
never got a bite. Had a limited time (4 hours) to fish but ended the day with two legal fish and a handful of the small ones. Never left the narrows but had a decent day.
