RB Bass Outdoors NxGen angler Landon Ford and his dad had never made a cast on Lake Amador before today so they were prepared to cover a lot of water to find fish. They started strong with reaction baits, resulting in a fish on a spinnerbait. They quickly switched to slower moving baits like jigs and neko rigs. Fishing them shallow because these fish were tight to the bank, hanging on every little rock, stump, or any cover in the water. They sacked up a limit this way and noticed the fish were getting deeper throughout the day. So, they started fishing deeper and that resulted in a nice 3 pound 10 ounce largemouth which culled out a very small keeper.
